  BIOGRAPHY  

 

The artist, who is only 28 years old, was engaged at the Teatro Regio in Turin from 2019 to 2021. His activities in Turin included: SCIARRONE in ‘Tosca’, DANCAIRO in ‘Carmen’ and IL CONTE ROBINSON (cover) in ‘Il matrimonio segreto’.
In the 2020/21 season he also succeeded as DULCAMARA in ‘L'elisir d’amore’ at the Teatro Felice in Genoa.
In 2019 he was BELCORE in’L'elisir d'amore’ at the Teatro Sociale di Como and DR.BARTOLO in ‘Il barbiere di Siviglia’ at the Teatro Dante in Campo Bisenzio.

In Italy, Gabriel studied opera singing at the Conservatorio Luigi Cherubini with Professor Donatella Debolini, finishing his studies with a diploma. In 2019 he graduated cum laude. At the Conservatory he portrayed BRUSCHINO IL VECCHIO in ‘Il signor Bruschino’, SIMONE and MARCO in ‘Gianni Schicchi’ and IL CONTE in a half-staged version of ‘Le nozze di Figaro’.

In 2018 he played PAPAGENO in ‘Die Zauberflöte’ at the Central City Opera Colorado. In this very role he also made his debut at the Rossini Summer Festival in Wildbad in 2017.

Gabriel graduated from Northwestern University Illinois in 2016 with Professor Theresa Brancaccio with a BM in Vocal Performance and a BA in German Studies. He also studied in Vienna, where he focused his studies in German and he gave many recitals. While still studying,he appeared in a variety of roles including Robin Oakapple in ‘Ruddigore’, David in ‘A Hand of Bridge' and Bastianello the Elder in ‘Bastianello’.

Among the many competitions Gabriel won, the Amber Capital Scholarship (2019-20 and 2020-21), the Bonfils-Staton Apprenticeship (2018) and a first place in the NATS Midwest Division Competition (2016, 2015) are particularly worth mentioning..
