REVIEWS

Teatro Verdi Busetto – Un ballo in Maschera - AMALIA
"The Amelia of Ana Isabel Lazo was the most applauded of the cast. The soprano gave the role the precise vocal colors with an impassioned interpretation."
La Gazetta di Parma

"Ana Isabel Lazo made her debut as Amelia. The dramatic timbre of the Guatemalan soprano fits for the role; and the approach to the character is credible and admirably solved. The aria Ecco l'orrido campo, was finely sung, full of great lyricism, as well as the touching and desolate "Morrò, ma prima in grazia"."

Melico Salazar Theatre – Turandot- LIU
"Vocally, Guatemalan soprano Ana Isabel Lazo brought down the house with her moving personification of Liu, the faithful slave. Firm emission, clear high notes, smoothness in her middle notes and a colorful timbre made Lazo stand out, and the audience acknowledged it through the standing ovation at the final curtain call."

Teatro Pacini Pescia - TOSCA
"…A beautiful and stunning Tosca, intimidates at the beginning because of her beauty and stage presence. An aggressive Tosca, sometimes loving, sometimes wicked, sings a “Vissi d’arte” travelling over the notes of the score full of traps with bewitching ease. The final duet with Cavaradossi is a master piece, and the audience bursts in applause…"

Auditorium ddel Carmine Parma – Cosi fan Tutte - FIORDILIGI
"... Ana Isabel Lazo, is Fiordiligi, one of the hardest Mozart roles; she was the best of the show, because of her vocal maturity, using her full voice, pianissimi and coloratura without problems. Her character is always present, between strength, passion and melancholia. The voice results always homogeneous and full of overtones."
