Since the beginning of the season 2006/2007, the good-looking singer belongs to the Opera Chemnitz ensemble and could already be seen here as the Countess in Mozart’s opera "Die Hochzeit des Figaro", as Saffi in " Der Zigeunerbaron", as Micaela in "Carmen", as Fiordiligi in "Così fan tutte", as Rovena in Otto Nicolais’ Belcanto-opera "Il Templario", as the Blue Fairy in the German premiere of Jonathan Doves family opera "The Adventures Of Pinnocio" , as MARGARETHE in “Faust”, ROSAMUNDE in “Die Fledermaus” and MIMI in “La Boheme.
Judith Kuhn was born in Berlin. After her singing formation with KS Catherine Gayer and an acting training with Roman Viterbo von Langenheim she first was engaged at the Dresden State Operetta, followed by an engagement at the Detmold Theatre. Since the season 2001/2002 she worked free lance and continued performing at the Dresden State Operetta, as well as a the Aalto Theatre in Essen, the Opera House Bonn, in Dortmund, at the Görlitz City Theatre, at the Castle Theatre of Sanssouci Potsdam and the Musical Comidy Leipzig.
Her repertoire includes numerous great opera parts such as Martha, Gretel, Mimi, Najade ("Ariadne auf Naxos"), Antonia, Misses Fluth and Donna Elvira, but also operetta parts like Julia ("Der Vetter aus Dingsda"), Clivia, Saffi, Sonja ("Der Zarewitsch"), Helena, Eurydike ("Orpheus in der Unterwelt"), Hanna Glawari, Lisa ("Land des Lächelns") and the Electress ("Der Vogelhändler")...
Judith Kuhn is also a very much sougt-after concert singer. Repeatedly she participated at the Vienna Johann-Strauß-concert –gala. She also sang in a performance of the Mozart-Requiem in the Aachen Cathedral and sang Beethoven’s 9th Symphony with the Jena Philharmonic Orchestra.
In the season 13/14 Judith Kuhn sings a.o. the BLUE FAIRY in „Pinnocchio’s Adventures“ and the 1st DAME in “Die Zauberflöte” at the Opera House Bonn. Under the musical direction Michael Sanderling she sings gala concerts with the Dresden Philharmonics at the turn of the year 13/14.
